Tapered to be hammer tapped into 1" dia. hole.
Plug measures 1.015" at top (about 1/64" larger than 1"),
so it will hold firm in the hole and .985" at the bottom.
Our plugs are face-grain which gives an attractive smooth "face"
as opposed to end grain which is rough and open pore.
INSTALL SMALLER TAPER END FIRST INTO THE HOLE.
To install FLAT HEAD PLUGS, place a small dab of glue in the hole
and hammer-tap the button to seat it FLUSH.
Use a tapping block about 3" square, over the plug and tap the block
with hammer to seat the plug and not damage the plug or floor or stair.
1" diameter is the mounting hole size.
